A summer Evening in Harpa - Comedy & Live Music
A new series of stand-up comedy and live music in Harpa’s beautiful Norðurljós (Northern Lights) hall. Plenty of fun for foreign visitors as well as locals with laid back comedy club style seating and a bar set up inside the auditorium.
The evening starts off with a hilarious stand up comedy show in English, followed by a live concert after the short intermission in between.
Duration: 2 hours.

Hugleikur Dagsson is a cartoonist/comedian known for his dark and surreal humor. He makes jokes about poop, death and other family values. His stand up comedy has been described as "filthy but friendly". See at your own risk.
LÓN
One of Iceland’s most beloved artists, Valdimar Guðmundsson (better known as frontman of 6-piece rock and roll band Valdimar), explores his folk roots along with powerhouse performers Ásgeir Aðalsteinsson and Ómar Guðjónsson in new americana project LÓN. Their debut album, 'Thankfully Distracted" is a heartfelt record surrounding themes of parenthood written in a cabin by Icelandic biggest lake. There’s a comfort that comes with ageing, growing into your bones and your stories, but also a grieving of youth. This age also brings on new challenges such as parenthood and having to look at your parents as the imperfect and often frail people they are.
With numerous awards between them from previous projects, including Icelandic Music Awards wins for Best Rock Song (2016), Best Rock Album (2018), Best Jazz Album (2009 and 2010), Best Jazz Song (2019) and Best produced album (2018), this set of all-star musicians have banded together to create a brand new project effortlessly blending together jazz riffs, folky charm, and Valdimar’s gripping vocals. Heading into 2023 the band went on a European tour with dates in the U.S. surrounding their official showcase at Folk Alliance International.
